All thanks and praise to God for allowing us to do Hajj in the year 2005 whilst we are all in good health. Truly was a blessed event. I hope and pray that it was accepted, Ameen.
Two Part Powerpoint:
1. About my hajj experience
2. Photos – Unforgettable Memories
I was asked to present to Kewdale AIC about my experience, and this is the powerpoint I put together. I also have talked to several people, especially those that are new to Islam that are bit nervous regarding the large crowds of people, so Inshallah this will help reassure them as although I am a person who normally runs away from large crowds such as in shopping malls or sales (they used to make me uneasy) that I found in an ironic way, the opposite at Hajj, that is not much problem of this issue.
For instance, whilst doing tawaf, circulation around the Ka’ba, with all those millions of people, if things got too tight, I made dua to God for space and then would find a gap opening around me, and other people have also told me they experienced same thing. In fact, before even going on hajj, this is something that a good person I know advised me to do, make dua for God to make more space. Thank you to that lovely person, it was wonderful advice. In the grand scheme of things, the crowds were really one of the least of my worries.
Something that makes me smile…I just want to thank that person (whom I only met once in my life) that challenged me that I would I would lose my temper at least once, as I remembered this challenge and it made me so determined that I would remain patient even more for God’s sake and not to ruin or blemish my experience.
I don’t mean to sound like the Oscars or something but I really want to thank the following people:
Darusalam Services Hajj Group Australia – Shiekh Yusuf, for being there for the whole hajj group all the way and guiding us the whole way through, step by step and teaching us what to say and do at the relevant time and place.
Medi – For taking so many photos to remember our experience and share with others
People in my hajj group – wonderful friends, it was good to experience things together, especially the sisters who guided me in the women’s only gathering to the Prophet’s (s) mosque grave in Medina and helping me out.
And my hubby of course whom did so much for me in terms of help, support and encouragement.
There are already many websites dedicated to explaining all the rites and different locations one can visit (such as Masjid Quba) this why I havent gone into explaining my photos.
